It really gets you hooked from the start, and I’d say the only bad thing is some minor character developments and the slow pace that sometimes throws you off, but once it gets going, it doesn’t stop. But it goes much deeper than the local disappearances. History and hauntings (both real and imagined) repeat themselves in this isolated area. Deep in the woods roams a legendary monster or are humans the actual monsters? Certain locals are connected to whatever is living/lurking there. The story turns mystical/supernatural and I wanted to know more.
